Creative Writing.

I primarily write short horror stories inspired by rich settings, relationships, emotions, and exploring the human condition. On occasion I dabble in other genres including creative nonfiction, plays (more below), personal essays (more below), and poetry. My creative work is currently featured on the All Roads Magazine website (links below). I also have another short story in the works and am in the process of adapting several of my stories for audio.

Plays & Scripts.

Like my other creative writing, my plays are inspired by simple (often single room) settings, relationships, emotions, and exploring the human condition. Both of my plays, Room 211 and 41 Degrees North, have been produced by theaters in both the Pittsburgh (Theater-by-the-Grove) and New York City (Manhattan Repertory Theater) areas. Excerpts can be made available upon request.

In addition to plays, I have also written and adapted scripts for audio (Dialect Blog), video (APGA Celebrates and professional development videos), presentations, and public speaking.

The Roads Interview Series.

Organization: All Roads Magazine

The Roads is an interview series with amazing people doing amazing things. From actors to writers to teachers to entrepreneurs, there’s lots of voices to learn from and be inspired by.

For this written series, I sourced and researched interesting and driven artists to complete either a written or recorded interview. I outlined and wrote interview questions and topics based on this research and coordinated with the artist on a turnaround timeline. Once completed, I reviewed the interviews, edited them if necessary, and posted them along with relevant photos and links on the All Roads Magazine website, then I promoted the interviews via social media.

Blogs, Essays, & Letters

Sometimes I need to get a little personal. With these pieces I am moved to share more of my life, tackle a new endeavor, or ruminate on something that’s been weighing on my heart or mind. Raw and exploratory, they are often inspired by my need to connect with a mystery, community, or world larger than myself. My work is currently featured on the All Roads Magazine and The Hungry Femme websites:
